Sales From Self-Help Book Benefit SSH

Sofia Sees Hope is the recipient of paperback and Kindle proceeds through October from “The Bug in Our Brain,” a new self-help book by Robert Christiansen, a friend and longtime supporter of the organization.

Christiansen’s self-help book gives readers a new perspective into self-help and personal development by self-helpfocusing on what he says is the core driver of success – worthiness. He found that strategies and methods in books and programs about achieving success help many people, but that those approaches were ineffective for many others trying to reach their goals.

The 56-year-old from California said more than 30 years of mentoring and coaching led him to discover that millions of people around the globe are affected by the nature of their relationship between self-worth and sabotage behaviors.

“This self-sabotage is motivated by a bug in our brains – the constant little voice that tells us we are not good enough, not worthy of love, friendship, respect and happiness,” according to the Amazon.com book description. “Christiansen wants you to stop listening to this little glitch and start living an enriching and satisfying life. His new guide to achieving your dreams starts by showing you your own self-worth.”

All proceeds from paperback and Kindle sales now through October will go to Sofia Sees Hope. Christiansen said he believes Sofia Sees Hope is a worthy cause with its dedication to advocating for patients and to helping transform the lives of those affected by blindness caused by Leber congenital amaurosis and other rare inherited retinal diseases.

Sofia Sees Hope Founder Laura Manfre, whose daughter Sofia has LCA, said she was thrilled that Christiansen chose our organization to benefit from the new book’s release.

“So much of what we do in the world of advocacy is reflected in the concepts and methods Robert uses in his work as well and we are grateful for the additional awareness and support his book launch will bring,” she said.

Christiansen said he looked forward to supporting the mission of Sofia Sees Hope and that Laura and Sofia are amazing people with a passion to make a real difference.

“We just want to make sure she and her family get the love and attention they deserve.”

Christiansen said he’s always been passionate about helping people achieve their dreams.

“However, self-worth often gets in their way while on the road to success. Self-worth is an ever-changing pair of glasses that broadens or limits their view of the world, colors every life experience, and propels them to take action or grounds them in stagnation. What I’ve found through personal, one-on-one coaching seminars, is when worthiness if lifted, attainment of their goals become significant easier.

“Lifting self-worth is the key to success.”

Christiansen said he wants to change the world, one dream at a time, and to fulfill his mission, he founded Motive for Life, a professional coaching company based in Lake Forest, Calif. For more information about Christiansen, visit www.MotiveforLife.com
